You can come to Cargo on daytime for occasional live band rehearsals or on nighttime offering lots of music live events with specific theme, fantastic line-up artists, both local and international.

Some recurring events can be counted as Dance Battle Party every Tuesday where the audience is the only judge. And don’t miss Cargo Jump Empire is held constantly on every Friday and Saturday, with spacious space with one of a kind warehouse club design inspired by European stype.

The bar offers draft beers, both original and bespoke cocktail menu at a very reasonable price. About food, kebabs and waffles or snack are worth to try.

 Saigon Ranger

You would never guess what’s hidden in this alley located in the heart of the city: one of the most epic bar in HCMC so far.

High quality sound effects and perfect light create the perfect ambience for your chill time.

Saigon Ranger has become popular, especially with travelers, because it hosts a widely range of cultural events. Live music from blues to rock to EDM and everything in between, sometimes art exhibitions and even cosplay night, no matter what your taste, you can find an impressive performance here.

 Yoko

According to Yoko’s owner, who is also the most-frequent artist here, Yoko Cafe and Bar is named after Yoko Ono – wife of singer-songwriter John Lennon.

Over a decade ago, most music lovers know Yoko as one of the very first live music places in HCMC.

You may think the glory days of Yoko may be in the past, but no. After the huge re-construction, Yoko now is back with new decoration and menu, and become a cool place to hang out after dinner.

Yoko performed mostly rock in the past, but now they have more genres of music like jazz or indie, which performed mainly from local artists.

You can mingle with the crowd or take a seat in comfy sofas, while upstairs space giving you awesome views of the performances.

In the menu, there’re 2 different prices, one for the daytime as a café shop with lots of good food choices to choose, one for nighttime.

Live music from 21:00, Thursday to Saturday. Creative beverage but a bit pricey. Smoking is permitted inside.

 

 Saigon Outcast

With slogan “Saigon Outcast: Alternative Events Venue”, this outdoor place become most important cultural hub that connects all art lovers.

3 years ago, 2 entrepreneurs Linh and Ha spent all their saving to stack 3 retro fitted shipping containers which were dropped into a sort of graffiti-covered urban jungle.

There is no time for sleep in Backpacker area, District 1, especially when you find down a great place to relax in for a chilled out evening like Thi Bar.

Small in size, but huge in atmosphere, this fun and busy bar is the regular place for most of expats who live in Backpacker area.

In daytime Thi functions as a chill-out café. From 9pm, it turns to an interesting bar for live music. It’s a good place to meet up with other travelers with the menu is loaded with good drinks.
